We were struggling in a small kitchen with old cabinets that barely fit any of our stuff. We needed a lot more storage, but had nowhere to extend the kitchen space. Even though it’s usually nerve wrecking to trust such a big project with a contractor you find online, John and his designer won us over the first time we met. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they knew exactly what we needed and how to make it happen. They came up with the idea of extending the cabinets into the dining area which gave us all the storage we needed and then some. John was such a joy to have around, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our final result. He was always timely and thorough. We are very grateful for all the hard work John and his designer did, they’ve changed our life for the better. We are also extremely happy to have stumbled upon an honest contractor like John, his kind is hard to find nowadays. Needless to say I highly recommend!
Advanced Construction and Design transformed our 35 year old kitchen into an updated, beautiful and functional kitchen! They were extremely reliable (if they were scheduled to begin work at 8:00, they were there at 7:50) and did everything in their power to adhere to the initial construction timeline. This was our first major construction project, and John and his design team were extremely patient and helpful throughout the design process.
I hired this company to do the kitchen of my dream. They DID NOT disappoint. I even had one relative cry when she saw the finish product...(nope folks i am not lying!!) I highly recommend this company. Their crew is small, but that's the beauty of it. They work well together and finished the project on time, even when taking the old floor became a bit of a nightmare. I have a bathroom that's need to be done and this is the only company i will hire! Incidentally, they have an amazing DESIGNER!

My family and I had an amazing experience working with John and his staff. I have to begin by saying that John's staff weren't people he "employed," he treated them as family and everyone we encountered worked well with each other. That dynamic helped to make our remodel smooth and pleasant. John's designer was marvelous to work with. She had an intuitive grasp on my design aesthetic and always let me bounce ideas off of her while keeping me grounded, realistic and most importantly on budget! In addition, she made sure to see things from all angles, thinking and suggesting things that I never would have on my own. I have been meaning to do this review for a very long time. Before 2019 is over I wanted to share my experience and how thankful I am. I had water damage a year ago in December that came from my upstairs master bathroom that went into my kitchen. After calling my insurance and making a claim I looked online and found advanced construction and design read the reviews and gave them a call. They came immediately and assessed my damage, dealt with my insurance and took the necessary steps which can be a lengthy process. Long story short they did such an amazing job with my kitchen I couldn't be more satisfied with the project. They gave me a calendar/timeline with who was coming what was being done. John and his crew were very professional at all times. His designer works closely with you to have the best result. They were even able to get me more money for my repairs. I can't express enough my gratitude. As a homeowner you want things done right, the quality of the cabinetry, counters and work is of high scale. I will continue to refer to them and use them for future projects because after a beautiful kitchen I need new floor. :))
John Strain at advanced construction and design as well as his crew and designer took my drab kitchen to fabulous. They did it on time and on budget, and made a stressful situation calm and fun. John and his team were excellent. This was my very first remodel and I was very nervous. John and his decorator walked us through the process and gave us an EXTREMELY accurate estimate on our master bathroom. I felt that the decorator really had my best interest at heart and we really worked together well as a team. Every worker that came through from the demo team to the tile setter to the framers were very professional and did great work. I never felt pressured to buy anything extra and they even saved my existing tile floor at my request. All items that were suggested were very reasonable and none were needlessly marked up. I would highly recommend this team.
I called several contractor/handyman services when remodeling my sons house, but John at Advanced Construction and Design was by far the best. He was on time, honest, professional and extremely accommodating. He's also an all-around nice person to work with. His associate Otto was equally professional and polite. He worked within my budget and accomplished all of my goals, which included: installing laminate flooring, a complete bath remodel, tiling, replaced a tub, repaired drywall and did three built-in shelves and built a kitchen counter that is also a pass through bar. I highly recommend them if you want your project on time and under budget. We were able to get a full price offer on the home only 3 days after listing it and that speaks to the quality of work provided by Advanced Construction and Design.
We hired John from Advanced Construction to repair some drywall that needed patching in our bathroom. He was very friendly, punctual, and professional. We're very pleased with the end result and will be contacting him in the future for more plans around the house.

The designer we worked with understood our vision and gave us many options. The fixtures and finishes they suggested were within our price-range making the whole experience pleasant rather than stressful. The team finished the project on time and followed the timeline. My Hero!!!! The expert designer came out right away and helped me choose beautiful colors for the outside of our home. We will enjoy this new look, AND it will surely help when it comes time to sell. She was also affordable, and so very kind. I can't say enough about her. :)
I would highly recommend John Strain and Advanced Construction and Design and have given them a 5 star rating! Not only did John and his crew do a fantastic job, but I was under strict time constraints as to when the job had be be completed. He and his team worked literally night and day to ensure that it was finished on schedule. The workers were friendly, professional, on time and thorough. They did a variety of jobs including bathroom/kitchen remodel with great design suggestions, painting, plumbing, and electrical upgrades. They even did some extra small jobs for me to help me out! His price was very fair, and if there was a problem, it was taken care of right away. (We realized the roof had a leak.) I felt like this company not only does quality work, but truly cares about their customers.
John was at our house in a day to do the free estimate on a deck demolition and rebuild. His estimate was way below the other estimate we had. It was a quality job that was done in four days. He also gave us suggestions on how we could make other improvements. We will be having him back to do more work on the house.

I called everywhere looking for someone who repaired drawer faces. I was surprised when a lot of the cabinet places I called didn't do it! I finally found and called Advanced Custom Cabinets. The person I spoke to was so friendly and very helpful. I sent her pics of my current drawer faces and she said they could do them. I had gotten a quote from another company and they were 125% higher than this company! Of course I decided to have the work done with Advanced Custom Cabinets. I dropped my 4 drawers off and reached another friendly person who kept me company while I waited for the person I originally talked to. When they arrived, I was told that I would have them in about a week since the workers had a big job to complete. I was ok with that turn around time as I was just happy to have found a company who did what I needed. I dropped them off on Thursday and got a call by Monday saying they were ready! That was quicker that I was told and the outcome of my drawer faces were PERFECT! I highly recommend the company. I know if I have any other repairs needed, I will always contact them. We couldn't be happier with John and Libbu and the entire crew at Advanced Construction. Our 1970's kitchen was in major need of an update. After years of thinking and about it we knew we wanted to maintain the existing footprint in every way because it suited our needs. We had done a lot of cooking in that kitchen and knew well how we used it. The idea was to change out EVERYTHING within that footprint with new and more functional cabinetry, surfaces, flooring, lighting, and appliances - on a strict budget. I know from the first phone call with Libbu that we would work well together. She's a designer and I'm an artist who likes COLOR and Libby was so receptive. Their initial quote was clear and detailed enough that we could toss things out here and there tha were beyond our budget without harm to the overall plan. When we made our first visit to the design studio, Libbu and I were like gleeful kids, playing with materials I'd brought in and drawing from her collection of samples and colors. Demolition started right on time and the detailed schedule kept us abreast of what was happening when. They crew consists of delightful folks John and Libby have used for years, and who work together seamlessly. Communication was a breeze during every step of the project. our new kitchen is beautiful. Advanced Construction gets an A+ from us.
